Abstract/Notes

Swiss researcher Fred Illi (1901-1981), has been characterized as chiropractic’s “greatest single resource.” Between 1932 and 1975, from his laboratory in Geneva, Illi documented the biomechanism of the spine and pelvis as no other.  His conclusions, which became shared by all in the discipline of biomechanics, would force chiropractic in particular to rethink many formerly held concepts, including the very definition of “chiropractic.”
